A Huntsman from Kurpfalz
Many visitors to Heidelberg, the former capital of the Kurpfalz, are reminded of a song about a hunter. But who was this legendary huntsman? Was it Prince Elector Friedrich IV, who liked to ride across farmers’ fields when out hunting? Or was it Prince Elector Carl Theodore – or maybe someone else entirely? Hear some of the tales surrounding this colourful figure and find out all about former royal hunting parties and the frustration they caused.
